Yesterday was awesome! My friend is getting married next week and yesterday was her Hen day*. We had a picnic at Roskilly's*, the weather was beautiful although I did get a bit burnt...Whoops! We all had to bring her a little gift for her to use after she got married which the children then hid all around the picnic area for her to find. I got her some earplugs because if her soon-to-be hubby is anything like mine she's gonna need them lol!
Then I went back to my cousins place (who was an honourary girl for the day) to practice our act for the open mic night, I can't believe I agreed to sing, I'm gonna make such a fool of myself!!!
After that we headed to Truro for the second part of the Hen day, an all you can eat Chinese buffet, yum :) The food was lovely and for once I didn't over stuff myself, for which I am very proud.
After the food there was a quiz about all things related to weddings, there were a few questions about traditions and things and a page of celebrity brides that we had to identify.
I thought we did really badly but it turns out we won! One team did get a higher score than us but they got disqualified on account of going downstairs and asking the bar staff for the answers.
We also sat round in a circle, sharing our favourite memories and giving advice to the bride to be, it was really sweet and well lets just say there was definite leakage in the mascara department!
So basically a lovely day, celebrating the end of an era and the start of a new one.
*To the lovely Bennet: Hen day = Bachelorette day, Roskilly's = Awesome icecream parlour in the middle of the countryside.
One last thing, here's something I saw on youtube and I think you guys might appreciate it :)

Naughty and Nice
There are lots of different types of people in this world, some nice, some not. Over the past couple of days I have met both. Yesterday, I had my debit card details stolen buy someone who cruelly tricked me into handing over my details...
I received a call from someone claiming to be from BT (British Telecom), he claimed that I owed money (around £30) and unless I paid immediately my line was going to be cut off at the end of the call plus he said that if the line was cut off there would be a £75 reconnection fee. He sounded really genuine and I stupidly handed over my card details, he then told me that it didn't go through and asked for another account, luckily I only have one visa account so I couldn't give him anything else. He then said he would let me phone my phone supplier as I'm not with BT (at the risk of his job supposedly!) to find out what was going on. So I did and they just confirmed that I was their customer and there was no way BT could cut me off.
I phoned BT immediately back and asked what was going on and they had no idea and they said they would never ring and ask for details like that. I realised I had just handed my details to a stranger. Fortunately I live very close to my bank and I went there right away to freeze my card, there was already a payment due to go out for over £50 that had nothing to do with my spending. I am very fortunate that I caught it before the false payment was processed. So other than to get another card send out to me (and a near heart attack!) there's no harm done.
I have notified BT and they are now investigating the matter.
Please spread the word to anyone you think could be at risk so no-one else can be fooled by this.
I cannot stress enough how convincing this guy was, he uses fear in order to get you to hand over your details, by telling others about this you may save someone from losing a lot of money.
As I said I have met both kinds of people in the last couple of days and now I move on to the nice. Today for the first time, I spoke to my cousins new girlfriend. My cousin has been bending my ear off about her for ages and I was glad I could finally say hello to her myself. We seem to have a lot in common and I'm fairly sure she's just as insane as I am, sanity is over-rated in my opinion anyway. I'm really looking forward to getting to know her better.
